Women’s pelvic health physiotherapy involves the assessment and treatment of pelvic floor, bladder, bowel and gynaecological conditions affecting women at all stages of life. We use a range of evidence-based assessment techniques, including real-time ultrasound to assess pelvic floor muscle activation and rehabilitation. Where clinically appropriate and with your informed consent, we also perform internal vaginal examinations to provide a comprehensive assessment of pelvic floor muscle function, pelvic organ support and other pelvic health concerns.
Our physiotherapist Brittany also provides pessary fitting, sizing and ongoing pessary management for women experiencing pelvic organ prolapse or certain bladder symptoms. This includes regular reviews, pessary changes, education and monitoring to ensure your pessary remains comfortable, effective and appropriate for your needs.
