Medicare Physiotherapy

Some patients are eligible for physiotherapy through a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan. This can be arranged through your GP and can include up to 5 physiotherapy (or other allied health) sessions per calendar year.

All Medicare appointments require GP referral, and eligibility is determined by your GP, not your physiotherapist. They are generally intended for people with chronic or complex conditions, lasting 6 months or longer.

The Medicare rebate for these appointments covers part of the consultation fee only (currently $61.80). The remaining balance will be payable on the day of your appointment. Please note Medicare rebates cannot be claimed in conjunction with private health insurance for the same consultation.

We welcome all Medicare CDM plan referrals for physiotherapy at The Physio Rooms Woodvale. We encourage you to advise our admin team of your referral at the time of booking, so our team can be appropriately prepared.
