David Makinson

Physiotherapist and Director

Co-creator, director and leading physiotherapist at The Physio Rooms, David brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion to all of his roles.

David has over 16 years of clinical experience, including completing his qualification and Masters in Physiotherapy in the UK. He has worked and travelled extensively in the UK, New Zealand and Australia, settling and starting a family in Perth.

David and Ash established The Physio Rooms Woodvale together in 2018. Since then, David has been a passionate and giving member of the community, who thrives on providing excellent healthcare to all his patients. He has a particular interest in chronic and persistent pain, along with achieving long term goals with patients. More recently, David has found a new passion in his role in training and providing ongoing professional development to other physiotherapists, particularly when it comes to evidence-based practice. This is reflected in the skills of all our staff at The Physio Rooms.

Outside of work, David is an enthusiastic member of the Woodvale Football Club, an avid gardener, and keeps active spending time with his young family.

Ashleigh Prestage (ne Dobson)

Physiotherapist and Director

Ash joined David in creating The Physio Rooms Woodvale in 2018, as is now co-director and part-time physiotherapist. Driven by a passion for patient connection and goal achievement, Ash envisioned a space where individuals could receive exceptional care while feeling supported and welcomed from the moment they arrived.

With 14 years of private practice experience, Ash brings a wealth of knowledge across a wide range of conditions. A Clinical Pilates instructor from the start of her career, she is now enthusiastic about utilisng our onsite gym for diverse rehabilitation approaches. Ash is dedicated to addressing every aspect of a person’s well-being in her treatment approach.

Ash has a background in dance, and also enjoys running, cycling, gym and swimming. She is a passionate West Coat Eagles supporter. Above all, Ash enjoy spending time with her family, including her husband, two year old twins and her dog. While her clinical hours are currently limited as she focuses on raising her young children, Ash remains deeply committed to her role and her patients.

Brittany Greene

Physiotherapist and APA Level 2
Women’s Health Physiotherapist

Brittany is a compassionate and highly skilled physiotherapist with a genuine passion for helping women feel confident, supported, and empowered through every stage of life. With advanced training in women’s health physiotherapy, including APA Level 1 and Level 2 Women’s Health qualifications, she provides expert assessment and treatment for a wide range of pelvic health conditions in a warm, welcoming, and respectful environment.

Brittany has a special interest in bladder and bowel dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, and comprehensive pregnancy and postnatal care. She is also qualified in pessary fitting and management, allowing her to offer conservative treatment options that help many women return to the activities they love with greater comfort and confidence. Brittany understands that pelvic health concerns can often feel overwhelming or difficult to talk about, and she is passionate about creating a safe space where every patient feels heard, understood, and supported.

Alongside her women’s health expertise, Brittany holds a degree in Exercise and Sport Science, as well as Certificate IV qualifications in Reformer Pilates, Matwork Pilates, and Massage Therapy. This diverse background allows her to take a holistic approach to assessment, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and exercise prescription, tailoring every treatment plan to the individual. She also leads our Clinical Exercise and Osteoporosis classes, reflecting her passion for empowering patients through movement, education, and long-term self-management.

Outside the clinic, Brittany enjoys cooking, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with her husband, daughter, and dog.

Ellen Wsolak

Ellen is a dedicated and compassionate graduate of Curtin University, with a genuine passion for helping people move well and live life to the fullest. Becoming a physiotherapist has been a long-held goal, driven by her desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Throughout her training, Ellen gained experience across a wide range of physiotherapy settings, including private practice, neurological rehabilitation, sports physiotherapy, and paediatrics. Her role in rural Geraldton provided diverse clinical experience, from working with amateur AFL players to designing exercise programs for older adults in community gym groups. She particularly enjoyed her paediatric placements, supporting children with neurodiverse conditions, including ADHD and ASD, and values building positive relationships with children, teenagers and their families.

Ellen has a special interest in treating neck pain, back pain, and sporting injuries, while enthusiastically welcoming the opportunity to help patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. She is passionate about empowering people to understand their bodies, overcome injury, and regain the confidence to return to the activities they enjoy.

Taking a holistic and individualised approach to care, Ellen combines hands-on manual therapy with evidence-based exercise and rehabilitation to achieve lasting results. Having spent more than six years in the fitness industry, she understands the important role exercise plays in both recovery and long-term health. She enjoys equipping her patients with the knowledge, confidence, and tools they need to take an active role in their rehabilitation.

Outside the clinic, Ellen enjoys playing netball, swimming, walking her dog, and unwinding with a good book. She also loves baking—a talent that is always appreciated by her colleagues!

Natalie Tsang

Natalie is a passionate physiotherapist who enjoys helping people recover from injury, build confidence in their movement, and return to the activities they love. She believes every rehabilitation journey is unique and works closely with her patients to develop personalised holistic treatment plans that align with their goals.

Throughout clinical training, she has worked with a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, including sporting injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and the management of neck and back pain. Natalie has a particular interest in diagnosing and treating lower limb injuries, sports-related conditions, and hand and elbow rehabilitation. She enjoys combining hands-on manual treatment with tailored exercise-based program to help patients reduce pain, restore function, and achieve long-term outcomes.

With a background as a soccer player, Natalie understands the physical and mental challenges that injuries can have on everyday life and sporting performance. Her passion for strength training and experience in the gym have further shaped her approach and knowledge in rehabilitation. Whether your goal is to return to sport, get back into the gym, or simply move more comfortably throughout the day, Natalie is committed to helping you return to the activities you enjoy in a stronger, more resilient way, and with the knowledge to help prevent future injuries.

Outside the clinic, Natalie enjoys staying active through strength training, soccer, badminton, and swimming. She also loves discovering new cafés with friends and values maintaining an active lifestyle, something she enjoys sharing with patients of all ages and activity levels.
